**_Our team is growing, and we're looking for an AutoCAD (Drafting) Technician with expertise in design for hospitality projects._**

The design studio at Northland Properties specializes in creating exceptional hospitality interiors. Across our extensive portfolio of hotels, restaurants, and resorts, our interior designers focus on creating meaningful and effective guest environments. The interior design studio at our Vancouver-based Support Centre is seeking an AutoCAD (Drafting) Technician to join our team.

**_ What will you be responsible for?_**

As our new AutoCAD (Drafting) Technician, you will work with the interior design team, and your duties will include the following:

- Using computer aided design and drafting (CADD) tools and software (AutoCAD), create and/ or modify technical interior design drawing sets, including Floor Plans, Furniture Plans, Interior Elevations, Sections, & Details, Reflected Ceiling Plans, Electrical Plans, Millwork & Furniture Drawings, and any other drawings required for interior design plan and specification integration.
- Provide technical expertise and support in computer aided design and drafting (CADD) within the interior design department.
- Support interior designers in planning and drafting plans.
- Analyze, review, and mark-up technical drawings developed by Interior Designers.
- Review Shop Drawings.
- Research local, national, and international Building Code and American Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements, aligned to project locations across Canada and the USA.
- Understand design principles, qualities of materials, and ergonomic factors.
- Maintain accurate records and documents of all CADD work.
- Participate in project meetings.
- Utilize strong problem-solving skills, and work independently with mínimal supervision.

**_ What will make you successful in this role?_**
- Minimum 3 years of experience in similar roles
- Excellent AutoCAD, InDesign, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office skills.
- Highly organized, with the capacity to manage multiple projects at various stages of development.
- Versatile and flexible, with excellent creative and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of hotel and restaurant furnishings, manufacturers for furniture systems, fixtures, and finish-related materials, with the ability to direct sourcing and researching, as appropriate.
- Knowledge of millwork and detailing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborative and professional work ethic.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
