**YOUTH WORKER for CONDOR LODGE**
**(2 part-time, temporary positions available)**
**About the position**:
McMan’s Group Care program for youth is seeking to recruit a dedicated Youth Worker to support six (6) co-ed youth ages 12-17, from a strength based/solution focused perspective, in a home in the community. You will be directly involved in teaching, supporting and mentoring youth to develop skills and abilities.
**This is a temporary position ending on June 30, 2025**
**Hours**:Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. 24 awake hours per week.
**Location**: Edmonton, Alberta.
**What you’ll do**:
- Connect with and develop helping relationships with youth
- Support and offer guidance to youth
- Supervise youth in the home
- Complete documentation
- Perform administrative and cleaning duties relating to the operation of the home
- Participate in on-going program development
**What you bring**:
- Completion of a Degree or Diploma in the Human Services field.
- Six months of directly related experience in youth/family work
- Equivalencies may be considered.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Security Clearance Check; including the Vulnerable Persons Sector Check (from within the last 6 months).
- Children Services Intervention Record Check (within the last 6 months)
- Emergency First Aid-Level A CPR + AED.
- A valid Class 5 Drivers License, a current drivers abstract, having a reliable vehicle and auto insurance **are required.**
- CARE (Children and Residential Experiences) training is an asset
- Strong relationship building skills and de-escalation techniques
- Desire to see youth succeed
