**The Opportunity**

David Kelley LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS Counselling Services (DKS), a program of Family Service Toronto, provides counselling services along with group-based supports to clients identifying as Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Non-binary, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, +, and to people living with/affected by HIV/AIDS or at risk.

**What we are looking for**:
**Counselling expertise**:Provide evidence-based, trauma informed, anti-oppressive counselling to LGBTQ+ clients and people impacted by HIV/AIDS, including:

- Individuals and Couples
- Group Facilitation
- Single-session counselling to people presenting with immediate needs.
- Experience and/or knowledge of working with people facing a range of challenges, including mental and physical health issues, impacts of trauma, relationship issues

**Advocacy skills**:

- Advocate for individual clients and identify systemic issues that may arise during service delivery.
- Conduct community outreach work

**Commitment to continuous learning**:

- Maintain current knowledge of community resources and services available to members of LGBTQ+ communities and persons living with or affected by HIV/AIDS.

**Qualifications**:

- M.S.W., M.A. or M.Ed.; Foreign credentials and relevant experience are valued.
- Applicants must identify as being a member of a LGBTQ+ community.
- Preference will be given to Gender non-conforming, Non-binary, Trans, Two Spirit and/or Male Identified applicants.
- Applicants must be registered and in good standing with the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
- Demonstrated clinical training, experience, and competence in a variety of clinical modalities.
- Demonstrated commitment to, and understanding of the principles of social justice, cultural competency and equity and inclusion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Second language is an asset.
