Csw Instructor

Due to continuing growth in our Community Support and Addiction Worker programs, have an exciting opportunity for experienced CSW Instructors to join the team. We currently have Part-Time position available.

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide quality academic instruction to students, ensuring that each student in his/her class has an enjoyable, productive, challenging, and meaningful experience in that class.

RESPONSIBILITY:

- Plan, prepare and deliver quality classroom instruction based on the approved curriculum.
- Timely completion and submission of all grade books and marking of all tests, examinations and assignments.
- Provide enriching learning environment for students by using holistic and career-oriented teaching methods.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques that keep students organized, orderly, focused, attentive, on task and academically productive during class
- Provide individualized instruction when needed
- Participate in enhancement of curriculum and syllabus.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Registered **LPN** in good standing in Alberta
- Minimum 1year of instructional experience or hold a training certificate in adult education.
- Experience teaching within an adult learner population
- Experience developing curriculum

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Able to explain concepts to others effectively
- Able to work with students with a variety of academic abilities and backgrounds while remaining patient
- Familiar with classroom routines
- Familiar with Moodle
- Able to work evenings and Saturdays
