**Job Title: Cook and Prep Cook, Permanent**

**Location: Coquitlam/Burnaby, BC**

Angel Food and Support Services is looking for Full-Time Cook & Prep Cooks at our Long Term Care locations in Coquitlam, BC

**Cook Responsibilities**:

- Preparing meals in accordance with the established menus and standards for portion control and quality plate presentation;
- Providing creative input to menus, food preparation methods, and special event menus;
- Assisting with Receiving of food and supplies;
- Ensuring the kitchen operates at the highest level of sanitation and safety.
- Ensuring Texture Modified diets meet IDDSSI standards

**Cook Skills and Experience**:

- Knowledge and experience in creative food preparation, accurate portion control, food preparation in accordance with menus and use of commercial kitchen equipment;
- Ability to read, write and effectively communicate with others;
- Strong ability to create relationships with new team members, good interpersonal skills;
- Successfully completed Food Safe 1 and WHMIS;
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide leadership when required;
- Positive and cooperative attitude;
- Able to successfully complete a TB Skin Test and Criminal Record Search (Vulnerable Persons sector).
- COVID-19 vaccinations (2), Annual Flu Vaccine

Pay: $26.50-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 35 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- cooking: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Safe 1, (preferred)
