We are a private design studio working on diverse projects, including product prototyping and commissioned contracts for various industries. We focus on creating custom garments and branded attire for our clients, extending their brand experience through clothing. We cater to various sectors, including interior design, furniture design, high-end restaurants, airlines, banks, and other businesses requiring custom uniforms and business attire.

**Duties**:

- Masterfully draft and grade patterns by hand. This critical responsibility forms the cornerstone of our garment creation process. The ability to execute this task with precision and expertise is a crucial determinant in the selection process for this role.
- Create patterns for clothing, taking into account measurements and other specifications provided by the designer.
- Measure individuals to create patterns based on their measurements.
- Draft and design new clothing designs.
- Create full-scale mock-ups of the design to ensure proper fit.
- Review existing patterns for accuracy and currency.
- Cut fabric to create samples of new styles.
- Check the measurements of finished garments to ensure proper fit.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, other pattern makers, and seamstresses to ensure the accuracy and suitability of patterns.
- Create sample pieces based on the patterns.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a pattern maker.
- Proficiency in using various sewing machines, including Single Needle, Serger, Blind Hemmer, Cover Stitch, and Chain Stitch machines.
- Knowledge of different fabrics and their properties.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good oral communication skills in English.
- Valid authorization to work in Canada.

**Salary**: $36,000.00-$40,000.00 per year
