Position
Champlain College Saint-Lambert is seeking the services of a full-time replacement RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES TECHNICIAN, to work in the Student Services department.

Functions
Reporting to the Dean of Student Services, the Recreational Activities Technician is responsible for the organization and reviewing of all intramural and recreational activities as well as home and special events in Intercollegiate Athletics. The person also works in collaboration with the Athletics Officer and the Social & Cultural Counsellor to organize and promote Campus Life Activities.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Ensures that intramural and recreation programming is consistent with the College’s Mission, Values and Vision, reflects an inclusive, diverse and comprehensive offering and meets with the overall goals, objectives and learning outcomes established by Student Services;
2. Organizes and reviews home game and special events that take place in Intercollegiate Athletics;
3. Facilitates and assists student groups in the areas of recreation, athletics and Campus Life Activities;
4. Participates in the purchasing of all equipment and supplies for intramural and recreational activities as well as equipment required for intercollegiate athletics at the College;
5. Assists with the organization of the “Cavalier Academic Support Program”;
6. Assists with the training of intercollegiate game-day event personnel including the selection, training, reviewing and remuneration of game-day staff and volunteers;
7. Organizes and facilitates a sports information system developed to provide accurate and up-to-date results and information concerning the intercollegiate and intramural sports programs to both internal and external users;
8. Assists the other members of Student Services with the planning and organization of Campus Life Activities;
9. Assists the Student Life Counsellor and Intercollegiate Athletics with scheduling for all athletic facilities at the College;
10. Assists intercollegiate athletics in other areas when required;
11. Works with all members of the Student Services team and other members of the Campus community to provide quality opportunities for student success and a positive student experience;
12. Participates in College activities and committees as determined by the Dean of Student Services;
13. Carries out other related tasks assigned by the Dean of Student Services.

N.B. This job requires some evening and weekend work.

**Requirements**:
Education
Must possess a diploma of college studies (DEC) in an appropriate specialty such as Recreation, "Intervention en loisirs" or a diploma or an attestation of studies which is recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.

Competencies
Must be able to communicate in both English and French, orally and written

**Work Schedule**: Monday to Friday 10:00 am - 6:00 pm (35 hours per week) with some evening and weekend work

**Duration of contract**: At the latest, until November 17, 2023 with possibility of renewal

**Salary Scale**: 23.82$ - 30.82$

**Anticipated Start Date**: 2023-08-14
