Psychology In The Park is a community based health and wellness centre built from a desire to offer real help in real time from real people. We desire to remove the stigma around seeking mental health support and break down barriers individuals often face accessing psychological services.We are looking for a compassionate, client-centred Registered Psychologist who is seeking a rewarding career in a community-focused, professional, and collaborative work environment. The position available is a part-time contract position with a competitive fee-share based income and includes additional incentives.

The Registered Psychologist is responsible for providing effective and efficient professional psychological services to Psychology in the Park clients. The Registered Psychologist delivers counselling to individuals who are experiencing personal adjustment and/or psychological challenges.

The Registered Psychologist has the opportunity to deliver mental health workshops and individual and group counselling.

Hours are flexible and can be negotiated. We are interested in working closely with the Registered Psychologist to create a work environment that is supportive and to the benefit of the practitioner and clients. Our clinic includes:

- Reception and office assistance
- Online booking through Jane App
- Direct insurance billing
- Marketing and advertising
- A collaborative environment with the ability to establish the psychology office space, role, and practice within the centre without the pressure of starting a new business
- Is a Registered Psychologist and in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP), and the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA)
- Holds a Master’s degree in Counselling, Clinical Psychology, or Clinical Social Work
- Has additional professional counselling experience and/or training in working with a diversity of mental health challenges and populations.
- Has familiarity and adherence to the Health Professions Act, and the Standards of Practice, Canadian Code of Ethics, and Professional Guidelines for Psychologists
- Has knowledge of counselling theory, developmental psychology, social psychology, ethics, group counselling, and cross-cultural counselling
- Has the ability to both establish rapport with a wide variety of clients and create a process of change that will enhance well-being
- Has excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must carry and maintain up-to-date professional liability insurance
- Knowledge of community resources

- Has experience running group therapy and workshops
