**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**
- _Inspection of purchased parts / products_
- _Reporting of defects & ensure product compliance (check after rework)_

**_ION_**

**_MAIN RESPONSABILITIES_**

**_Accountabilities & Authorities:_**
- _Perform inspections according to Incoming Control Plan _
- _A_ccept or Reject products as defined in the inspection instruction/ checklist _
- _Records inspection results in the digital tools as required_
- _Accurately document Non-conformity when applicable with clear characterization _
- _Complete all associated Non-conformity activities such as completing the QM order, blocking stock and tasking appropriate parties in the ERP system (ex GSI) to initiate the NCR resolution process_
- _Ensure the use of calibrated equipment and instrumentations used in the inspections._
- _Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner. _
- _Assist in the writing and updating inspection procedures, control plan and checklists. _
- _Inspect and sort material from inventory purges as directed by SQ Serial_ _or Supply chain_
- _Inform supply chain and supplier quality on NCRs and impact of defects on part availability _
- _Coordinate outside special process inspection or outside lab testing if required, with incoming inspection leader_
- _Supports the SQ Serial_ _and Incoming Inspection leader by providing inspection-related data for KPIs_
- _Participates in daily meetings and fulfills daily priorities as set by the Incoming Inspection leader_

**_MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES_**

**_Mandatory:_**_ _
- _Must be able to read drawings (2D and 3D) / specifications and be able to understand 3D geometry_
- _Familiar with a variety of measurement equipment._
- _Experience within manufacturing industry_

**_Desirable:_**
- _Associates degree or diploma, technical major preferred._
- _Qualified on special process of his/her scope of work._
- _Railway experience a "plus"._
- _Quality inspection experience within manufacturing industry._
- _Experience with typical products used and their defect modes_
- _Experience in Quality / audit are valued_

- _Ease to communicate with business partners_
- _Mechanically or electrically inclined, comfortable using measurement tools_
- _Experience in operational activities, in documentation management & collaboration and team working._
