**Position description**:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as Project Coordinator. In this role, the successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating various aspects of projects, while effectively communicating with project trades and professionals. Successful applicants must have demonstrated success in writing and securing funding. You will demonstrate exceptional file management, writing, communicating and have solid organizational skills, as well as a strong ability to understand technical drawings and project budgets. This position offers a unique opportunity to work both outdoors and in the office, ensuring a diverse and dynamic work environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate and oversee phases of assigned projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Interface and collaborate with project trades, professionals, and stakeholders to facilitate project progress and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Review and analyze technical building drawings, specifications, and other project documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in the development and management of project schedules, including resource allocation and task assignments.
- Maintain organized project files, records, and documentation for easy accessibility and reference.
- Support project budgeting and cost control activities, tracking expenses, reviewing invoices, and monitoring project financials.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, including LFN Land Code and Laws.
- Prepare comprehensive progress reports, presentations, and other project-related documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the coordination and scheduling of meetings, workshops, and project-related events, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
- Assist in the procurement of project materials, equipment, and services, following established procedures and guidelines.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements relevant to project coordination and management.
- Provide back-up support and coverage for colleagues as required
- Other duties as required

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Strong file management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting technical building drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
- Knowledge of budgeting and cost control measures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration with business partners and diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a keen focus on accuracy.
- Experience in writing detailed and organized reports.
- Proficient in computer skills, data management, and research techniques.
- Proficiency in project management software, document management systems, and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing project requirements and priorities.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required. This may include within Canada or the United States and possibly other countries as required.
- Willingness to adhere to all policies and procedures of Leq’á:mel First Nation and the Leq’á:mel Development Corporation.

**Training, Education and Experience**:

- Minimum 3 years trades experience focusing on new technology and innovation
- Minimum 3 years project management experience
- Relevant trades certification or diploma is preferred.
- Proven experience in project coordination or a similar role, preferably in the construction and engineering industry.
- Completion of relevant project management courses or certifications (e.g. PMP) is preferred.
- Valid B.C. Driver’s License
- Have use of reliable transportation for work - mileage reimbursed
- Completion of Criminal Records search
