GeneBio is seeking outstanding applicants for a **Scientist I, Molecular Biology** to support ongoing or new initiatives. This position is located in Burlington, Ontario, Canada.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead projects to develop, validate, and commercialize technologies and products by setting clear objectives, meeting timelines, and effectively communicating results.
- Participate in laboratory work as needed, executing experiments to support project goals.
- Adapt, develop, validate, and perform bioassays in a fast-paced and evolving research environment.
- Identify and implement new techniques and protocols to advance commercialization objectives.
- Design and conduct clinical studies, coordinating efforts with internal and external collaborators.
- Generate high-quality, well-documented data with meticulous attention to detail.
- Perform other duties as required to support the team and organizational objectives.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related field. A minimum of 1 year of post-graduate experience is preferred.
- Strong background in molecular biology or molecular diagnostics is highly desirable.
- Experience with the development and technical validation of in vitro bioassays is an asset.
- **Familiarity with loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) is a strong advantage.**:

- Demonstrated project management experience is a plus.
- Previous experience working in an industry or company setting is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with scientific writing experience considered an asset.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and communicate professionally at all levels.

Pay: $39,284.00-$55,020.00 per year
