**JOB TITLE**:Shop/Warehouse Manager**
**REPORTS TO**: Chief Project Manager

**JOB SUMMARY**:
Reporting to the Chief Project Manager, the tool crib attendant issues tools and equipment to jobsites, maintains records of issued tools, and monitors the tool crib and materials inventory. The attendant also receives new tools into the organization and schedules preventative maintenance on the equipment. He/she must have organizational skills to keep accurate records of tool locations, scheduled repairs and maintenance. Good computer skills are necessary in the position to transact tools and materials in the system and maintain inventory records.

**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Organize and catalog tools and equipment to keep accurate inventory control including ordering/pricing new tools while maintaining the budget assigned and accurate detailed records of all tool crib transactions
- Create, maintain and monitor the Jonas ERP’s tool crib module to track tools location and condition as well as to ensure that the job costing reports are accurate.
- Use manual or any other computerized inventory system if needed and prepare requisition orders to replenish tools, material, and supplies
- Maintain and oversee the receipt, storage, requisitioning and disbursement of tooling, material, spare parts, lubricants, and various shop supplies
- Research into root causes of inventory issues and recommend solutions where applicable
- Seek ways to find efficiencies in the tool crib process
- Maintain inventory control strategies to maximize efficiencies and minimize costs (min, max, reorder points)
- Order replenishment, follow up with suppliers, expedite past due orders and other duties
- Responsible to check the tools and material before they go to site for proper operating conditions and organize all tools for upcoming jobs
- Distribute tools, material, and supplies for internal usage and maintain records of orders and the amount
- Maintain the job boxes that are to be sent to site with the appropriate tools by trade and the list of standard components that are to be in that box
- Repair the small hand tools and organize repairs for service trucks
- Tools that are returned are to be tagged out of service and either sent for repair or replacement, then counted and restocked
- Deliver equipment, tools, material, and miscellaneous items from the shop to the site
- Pick-up tools, leftover material and miscellaneous items from site, pick
- up site garbage as requested from site
- Responsible to keep the shop clean and shelving organized
- Responsible to maintain the shop washroom cleaning and supplies replenished as needed
- Maintaining truck labelling, plate stickers
- Collect, organize the vehicle maintenance records as required by Preventive Maintenance Module of COR
- Maintain the maintenance records for the building and shop support equipment such as roof top units, unit heaters etc. as part of the Preventive Maintenance Module of COR
- Maintain salting and sanding of the ramp at the delivery ramp for safety

**Client Relationship Management**
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
- Develops and maintains effective relationships with clients.
- Responsible for resolving issues and managing expectations.

**Occupational Health and Safety**:
(a) Report all incidents, accidents and/or hazards.
(b) Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) particularly the “Duties of Workers” as stated in

Section 28.
(c) Comply with Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS).
(d) Comply with Health and Safety rules, policies and procedures of the company.
(e) Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security

**Employee Relations**

(a) Communicate with administrative and management staff as required.
(b) Provide and/or participate in training as required.
(c) Comply with company rules, regulations and policies as stated in the Employee Relations Manual and/or

Employee Handbook.

**Environmental**

(a) Adhere to environmental policies and procedures
(b) Comply with company disposal/waste management program and recycling program

**Other duties as assigned**

MINIMUM EDUCATION: completion of a three-year apprenticeship program or College courses or Technical Diploma in Materials Management/Machining/Engineering or related program.

JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE: Several years of experience in a similar role.

**KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS**
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, twist, kneel and reach overhead
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting with other personnel to ensure that support is there to ensure tools are available for production
- Must possess strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Must have working knowledge of power tools
- Good math and reading skills are required
- Ability to consistently work safely and maintain a safe work environment
