**Brief Description**:
**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Schedule and perform audits of regulatory compliance and various standards and programs including ISO 14001 EMS, ISO 45001, Drinking Water QMS and Integrated Pest Management.
- Perform remote desk audits and onsite audits to ensure regulatory compliance and standard and/or program requirements have been met.
- Prepare audit plans.
- Conduct audits to determine compliance to applicable regulations, standards, and programs by interviewing client staff at all levels, reviewing documents and records, conduct site visits to assess facilities and operational procedures and drawing conclusions on compliance including documenting findings.
- Lead opening and closing meetings, including verbal presentation of findings to client and preparation of audit reports.
- Follow-up on non-conformances.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- **Certification** as an Environmental Management System Lead Auditor - EP(EMSLA), with regular certification renewal
- University Degree or College Diploma in Environmental or related field
- 2-5 years previous related experience in environmental auditing field
- Working knowledge of environmental, health and safety management system standards, Canadian environmental legislation, and applicable guidelines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite software
- Attention to detail in both written output and audit findings
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision, including proactively identifying problems and working with team members to develop solutions
- Effective and adaptive process understanding
- Timely preparation of reports and other client deliverables
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and resourceful
- Problem solving, organizational and time management skills
- Must hold a valid driver’s license

**Desired Skills and Experience**:

- Certification as an Environmental Compliance Auditor - EP (CEA)
- Certification or working experience in ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 50001
- Working knowledge of Environmental Compliance Auditing Standard CSA Z773:17
- Technical competence and understanding of multiple environmental specialties, such as drinking water quality, integrated pest management, power generation, and industrial processes
- Working experience or knowledge of BOMA Best Certification
- Experience with sustainability auditing and ESG development and auditing
