**Job Summary**

To provide customers (our customers are both individuals and insurance companies), in a friendly and courteous manner, a cost and time estimate for repairs to vehicle damage. To assist with arrangements for insurance claims, to order all parts, work with the Tower Controller to ensure promise times and quality meet customers’ expectations, to inspect final product, and arrange for the customer to pick up the vehicle. **What you offer**

**Some of the tasks of this position include**:

- Greet each customer in a cheerful, positive manner. Make every effort to make the customer feel comfortable and welcome during the sales and estimate process, or when visiting your shop.
- Ensure effective appraisal.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Introduce the customer to the two options we offer for repairing their vehicle: A, B method - Please refer to S.O.P. - A, B customer estimating options - for further details.
- Supply estimates for customers, insurance companies, and internal departments. All estimates should be completed in an accurate and efficient manner, keeping in mind that the estimate later becomes the blueprint for the repairs. **Accuracy and detail cannot be over-stressed. Include every task on the estimate **(i.e. Touch ups, small polishes, and special instructions that the customer may have requested).
- Document all special information (i.e. conversations, etc.) on the estimate or on the computer screen, or both for the benefit of any other staff member who may handle the file during the repair process. This is especially important for the productions department in order to deliver a finished product exactly as described to the customer during the sales process.
- In addition performing a complete vehicle inspection during the estimate process, to take advantage of other damage we may be able to fix, while their vehicle is in our shop.
- Once the estimate and repair order is opened, order the necessary parts. Document on the work order who, when, and how parts were ordered, pass the work order to the control tower to continue the procedure. Upon arrival of all parts, follow up with the customer to confirm an appointment to complete the work, upon being told by the Tower Controller.
- To verify work schedule is kept, and inform customers _and_ insurance companies in a proactive manner of any delays.
- Work with the Control Tower Operator, to inform our customers of an appropriate time frame to pick up their vehicles.
- Follow up on all unsold written estimates, in an effort to sell the job to the customer.
