Reporting to the current Bakery Manager, Store Manager and SUNRIPE Owners, the Bakery Department Manager in Training is responsible for customer satisfaction, profitability, staffing, and cleanliness in their department.

**What You Bring to Our Team**:

- Minimum three years’ experience in retail Bakery Management
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in business, culinary or other related field
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to delegate, lead and inspire a team, with a passionate and positive demeanor
- Computer skills specifically with the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Flexible availability from 4:30am until 9:00pm, seven days per week

- Answer telephone calls and receive orders
- Supervise, train, mentor and conduct annual performance reviews with bakery department team members
- Assist and guide team members with baking, preparing, packaging, labeling and stocking products
- Work with Human Resources and Store Manager with hiring and onboarding
- Control inventory of product on a monthly basis and prepare spreadsheets for Accounting
- Order products weekly, receive them and check deliveries for accuracy and freshness
- Store products in a clean, organized fashion while ensuring safe food storage
- Manage department profit margin by following recipes, verifying product costs, and updating retail pricing
- Merchandise bakery department products and displays artistically
- Manage production of Bakery items
- Manage department schedules within an assigned labour budget
- Maintain a safe and clean Bakery Department by complying with company policies and procedures
- Follow and ensure government regulations, company policies and procedures
- Attend Management and staff meetings
- Other assigned duties as they may arise

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
