**REPORTS TO**: RN/RPN
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
Preference will be given to nursing students who have completed a minimum of one year of an accredited nursing program; a graduate of a recognized PSW program or DSW program, who has successfully completed a Pharmacology/medication administration course.
**RESPONSIBILITES**:
- Med techs administer medications to residents on all shifts
- Once training is provided and expertise is demonstrated, med techs can administer eye drops, inhalers, subcutaneous injections of Insulin with Insulin pen, rectal suppositories, perform vitals signs as well as glucometer testing.
Med techs are to consult with an RN or RPN before administering PRN medications so that the appropriate assessment can be performed.
**UNIFORM**:
Uniform, enclosed comfortable shoes, minimum of jewelry, and name tag.
**JOB TYPE**:Part-time varied shifts, days, evenings, nights and some weekends.
Applicants must be fully vaccinated for COVID 19 per Public Health Directive.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From $22.55 per hour
