Yard Attendant/laborer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Operator/Yard Worker/Laborer to join our team. The Yard Worker will be responsible for various tasks related to the organization and maintenance of the yard area, aiding in the daily operations of a recycling site.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate light equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, saws, operate scale,
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, material preparation, loading and unloading
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks as required, up to 50 lbs.
- must be able to work outdoors, physically fit
- Maintain a clean and organized yard area
- Valid class 5 drivers license

**Experience**:

- Prior experience in light equipment operation, shipping and receiving tasks
- Proficiency in load/unload processes
- Working in an industrial environment
- Ability to handle heavy lifting duties efficiently
- Mechanical background an asset
- Works well independently

Contract length: 6-12 months

Pay: $18.94-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

- Secondary School (preferred)

- laborer/operator: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
