**We are looking for an Internal IT Auditor to work within Canada.**

**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Manager Security Governance and Compliance, Internal IT Auditor is responsible for internal information security audits, while ensuring that internal systems are compliant with security standards. Additional responsibilities include creating, monitoring, and closing all issues related to internal and external audits, security, compliance, and other assessments, policies, frameworks and security risks.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Understand IT processes to identify risks and perform IT audit procedures to evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of controls
- Plan audits that require alignment across multiple areas of the business
- Lead the ongoing audit communications and the reporting process with the client, senior management, and external auditors
- Determine the root cause of exceptions and identify practical recommendations to strengthen data security, IT business processes and processing integrity
- Write audit results and conclusions in audit reports in a concise and precise manner, including practical recommendations to improve processes, systems and controls
- Develop audit reports with corrective action plans for identified issues and provide recommendations
- Execute follow-ups of findings arising from internal audits and regulatory reviews as per the standards
- Execute specific audit engagements (including planning, fieldwork and delivering outcomes), coordinating and completing engagements within established timeframes and in accordance with expected quality standards

**Qualifications and Skills**

Educational and Job Requirements:

- A bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, informational security, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in a similar role
- CISA, CCNP, CRISC certifications are desired

**Experience and Skill Requirements**:

- Advanced knowledge of business processes and operations, risk, change and project management, organizational practices, and business transformation
- Familiarity with ISO 27001/27002, SOC-2, PCI-DSS and NIST frameworks
- Experience in internal auditing, reporting and follow-ups.
- Knowledge of Network and security technologies like Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper etc.
- Knowledge of different operating systems like VMware, Windows, Linux etc.
- Good knowledge of security and privacy technologies and controls

**Additional Information about the Role**:

- Canadian permanent residency or citizenship, temporary work permit
- Occasional meetings with customers, external auditors and vendors
