**What Does a Driver Trainer Do?**:
**As a Driver Trainer, You Will**:

- Ensure all training materials and delivery methods prioritize Living Goal Zero and promote no workplace incidents or injuries
- Consult with Operations Management in an ongoing fashion to identify and deliver on evolving training needs
- Develop, review, and update training materials for training prospective drivers of Class D & A vehicles and air brake endorsements, as well as the safe operation of winter maintenance equipment include tandem and tri‐axle winter combination units with front plow and side wing configurations and tow‐plow attachments
- Schedule and deliver training on the SMITH Defensive Driving Program for all drivers Miller Maintenance Drivers
- Identify, train, and audit local trainers in each contract area to be relied upon to deliver ad‐hoc winter operations training to new drivers as required
- Maintain comprehensive training records of all active employees and ensure proactive scheduling of refreshers as required
- Participate in incident and near‐miss investigation to identify and address driver training issues and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Participate in planning and executing driver recruitment activities such as job fairs, open‐houses, and school visits

**What You'll Bring**:

- Valid AZ license with clean Driver’s Abstract is required
- 15+ years of proven safe commercial vehicle operations including winter maintenance operations with references is required
- Previous experience operating various Heavy Equipment considered a strong asset
- Strong background, knowledge and experience with upgrading licenses
- Effective team player with excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills to groups of 20+
- Ability travel long distances for a week or more at a time to deliver training on‐site at Millers many locations. Travel may include hauling of digital plow simulator contained in a 28’ contained trailer
- In possession of or willing to ascertain qualifications to upgrade licenses and air brake and award air brake endorsements in the province of Ontario by successfully completing and maintaining the following:

- Techniques of Instruction
- Fleet Driver Training Course
- Air Brake Endorsement Trainer
- Fleet Driver Training In‐Vehicle
