University Prep Counsellor

**University Prep Counsellor - 50% FTE**
- Teaching University Prep courses including career development curriculum for students in Grades 10-12
- Assisting junior and high school students with course selection;
- Understanding national and international post-secondary options and helping students navigate their best options;
- Working with both students and parents to help them understand admission and scholarship requirements and opportunities;
- Understanding how to interpret international transcripts and course equivalencies;
- Coordinating and hosting university visits to Sacred Heart School of Halifax;
- Understanding the graduation requirements for Sacred Heart School of Halifax and The Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
Other responsibilities include serving as the Advanced Placement Coordinator overseeing AP course selection and exams, PSATs and SATs, and College Board inquiries including the Common Application.
