**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Offer legal counsel on property management matters, including lease agreements, tenant relations, and compliance with Ontario’s landlord-tenant laws.
- Draft, review, and negotiate residential lease agreements, service contracts, and other legal documents.
- Ensure compliance with relevant provincial and municipal regulations, including the Residential Tenancies Act.
- Assist in resolving disputes with tenants, including representing the company in eviction proceedings and mediation.
- Conduct legal research and stay informed about changes in real estate law affecting property management in Ontario.
- Collaborate with property management teams to develop and implement best practices for compliance and risk management.
- Provide training and guidance to property management staff on legal requirements and procedures.
- Represent Golden Equity in legal proceedings as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in Ontario.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a lawyer specializing in residential property management and real estate law.
- Strong understanding of landlord-tenant law, including the Residential Tenancies Act in Ontario.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
