Pharmaceutical Bioinformatician

Job description

We are looking for dynamic consultants to grow our Life Sciences team in Toronto. Your experience, knowledge, and commitment will help us to face our client's challenges.

You will be supporting different projects through your expertise as Pharmaceutical Bioinformatician.

**Your main responsibilities**:
Develop and implement prediction and prioritization algorithms
Analyze omics data using bioinformatics tools and libraries to identify relevant mutations
Collaborate with the research team to integrate computational methods with experimental findings
Contribute to package development in R or Python, specifically in the context of Bioconductor
Perform NGS analysis, including mutation calling, DNAseq, and RNAseq
Conduct single-cell analysis to uncover insights into neoantigen biology
Optionally, create simulation and prediction pipelines to enhance algorithm performance
Utilize workflow orchestration tools, such as NextFlow, to streamline analysis processes

**Qualifications**:
Minimum of a Master's Degree in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Bioengineering, or related sciences ; PhD and post-doctoral experience preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience as Bioinformatician in the pharmaceutical sector
Good understanding of biological concepts and experimental methods commonly used in molecular biology, with a keen interest to learn more
Strong sense of responsibility and reliability, with a goal and task-oriented approach
Capability to work independently and collaboratively, leveraging both public and private datasets to address scientific questions
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
