Dollard, Canada Salton Appliances Full time

In 1945, Toastess Inc. was founded by two brothers who manufactured portable appliances in Montreal. Keeping Canadians warm with a big cuppa was their game and they played it like they were going for the Stanley Cup. Highlights of their business included the Canadian Design Award for the first ‘non-bell-shaped electric kettle’. Toastess was also the first in Canada to develop a hot air corn popper to use a circular whirlpool style airflow as well as launching the first immersible deep fryers. Pretty cool, eh?

Flash forward to 1985 and Salton Canada is born. After a long history in the USA, Salton Inc was dissolved and in 2013 Salton Appliances expanded into the USA and Mexico under its Salton and Toastess banners.

Today, Salton has a presence in every corner of Canada. We are proud to be owned 100% by Canadians. Although, like all small appliance companies, our manufacturing is performed abroad. At home, Salton employs Canadians from coast to coast for all other operations. As we continue to grow, we pride ourselves in our roots and are as polite and progressive in business as our country. **Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
**Receiving and Inspection**:
Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of quantities and items against purchase orders or shipping manifests.

Inspect goods for any damages or defects and report any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.

Ensure proper documentation and labeling of received items.

**Inventory Management**:
Organize and maintain inventory within the warehouse using appropriate storage methods and equipment.

Perform regular inventory counts and reconciliations to ensure accurate stock levels.

Rotate stock and follow proper first-in, first-out (FIFO) procedures to minimize product expiry or obsolescence.

**Order Fulfillment**:
Accurately pick and pack products according to customer orders or internal requisitions.

Prepare and stage orders for shipping, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.

Collaborate with other team members to prioritize and expedite order processing as needed.

**Shipping and Receiving**:
Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and customs paperwork for international shipments.

Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring the safe handling of goods and adherence to loading protocols.

**Warehouse Maintenance and Safety**:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all health and safety regulations and guidelines.

Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, in a safe and responsible manner.

Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or incidents to the appropriate personnel.

**Collaboration and Communication**:
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and address any issues or concerns.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as purchasing, customer service, and quality control, to ensure timely and accurate order processing.

**Requirements**:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in warehouse operations or forklift operations are a plus.

Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred but not required.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Proficient in basic computer skills.

Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize work effectively.

Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.

Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to warehouse operations.

Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.

**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour
