Laboratory Technician

**Summary**:
Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Manager, the Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing sample preperation and lab analysis in accordance with client requirements and in accordance with the latest quality standards, Company policies and Safety guidelines.

**Specific Responsibilities**:

- Performs laboratory tests and analyses resulting in reliable and accurate data.
- Operates standard laboratory equipment.
- Perform regular maintenance on laboratory equipment and ensure that appropriate levels of supplies are available in the lab.
- Record and interpret test results for presentation to colleagues and managers.
- Prepare chemical solutions for certain tests as required.
- Adhere to safety and quality standards.
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Chemistry or a related field
- Mineral or Petroleum lab experience preferred
- Mathematical aptitude required
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
- Working knowledge of Safety regulations
- Ability to work overtime when needed

**Salary**: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
