Coast Builders operates under the RONA Banner with stores located in Gibsons, Sechelt & Madeira Park. We pride ourselves in providing a comprehensive Coast Builders experience to the residents who live, work and play on the Sunshine Coast.

We are currently looking for a **GARDEN & SEASONAL SERVICE LEAD **for our Sechelt Store to join our growing team. During the Garden Season (March 1st - July 31st ) the Garden & Seasonal Lead will work at the Sechelt Store. During the off season we will find a role for you in your Coast Builder Home location.

**The Opportunity**

**What you will do**
- Works towards the target expectations for garden & seasonal retail sales, margin & inventory management.
- Meets the merchandising standards for the Garden & Seasonal Department.
- Work in close cooperation with Garden & Seasonal Service Supervisor for Sechelt & Madeira Park & Store Manager, Store Garden & Seasonal Team Member, to meet the target expectations.
- Ensures proper maintenance and presentation of the Garden & Seasonal department constant watering, sorting and organizing plant care & maintenance. Regular walks through the department, facing the product, sorting the products sweeping and cleaning as necessary.
- Proficiency in all point-of-sale functions: recording and collecting for customers purchases; processing sales transactions; keeping accurate record of all cash and credit card transactions; reconciling records of daily cash and credit card sales.
- Effectively communicate the use of products in the Garden & Seasonal Department to our customers.

**Qualified applicants will have**
- Completed High School, with retail/merchandising experience, noting experience in Garden/Seasonal retail is an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Schedule**: 7**-**8 hour Day Shift 5 days a week, noting the Stores are open 7 days a week
