Northern Construction Academy (NCA) is a registered Career College and training facility for AZ/DZ truck drivers and heavy equipment operators in Garson, Ontario. **Job Duties**
- Supervise and train students on various types of equipment such as Loader, Dozer, Excavator, Articulated Truck, Rubber Tire Backhoe and Grader.
- Assess students’ knowledge and skills, providing constructive feedback and additional support as needed.
- Regularly communicate updates, challenges, opportunities to Manager.
- Able to operate Loader, Dozer, Excavator, Articulated Truck, Rubber Tire Backhoe and Grader for demonstration of tasks.
- Display professionalism toward our students and client base.
- Must maintain a clean work environment including both interior and exterior of equipment.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures: safety standards operations, maintenance, training, standards, etc.
- Perform related duties as assigned by Manager.

**Job Qualifications**
- Must have five (5) years of Heavy Equipment Operator experience, within the last 10 years.
- Must have extensive knowledge/hands-on experience in operating various pieces of equipment.
- Exceptional knowledge of construction, mining, and transportation industry practices and standards
- Basic Skills in Microsoft Office required or willing to learn (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Must possess a valid Class G driver’s license and clean drivers abstract.
- Valid Class AZ license with 5 plus years of experience will be an asset.
- Experience in formal instructional training is an asset.
- Bilingual (French) is considered an asset.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A strong team player with the ability to manage shifting priorities.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as in a group setting.
- Ability to travel out of town if needed.
