**Our Opportunity**

We are currently seeking a Survey Lead to join our team in Chetwynd or Fort St. John, BC. This is a lead technical role for the establishment of design specifications and the procurement of equipment and material.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Lead and provide mentorship for the survey team
- Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of the survey in order to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed
- Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurement and calculations conducted at survey sites
- Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of the terrain
- Prepare and supervise the preparation of all data files
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce final as-built drawings for the client, as well as mínimal post-processing of survey data and calculating quantities.
- Proactively communicate with field surveyors and project coordinators regarding potential quality control issues and provide mentorship with respect to field and office procedures
- Direct or conduct surveys to order to establish legal boundaries based on legal deeds or titles

**Requirements**:

- Diploma in Geomatics Engineering or Surveying Technology, or equivalent field training
- 5+ years of construction survey experience
- A solid understanding of modern survey techniques and equipment, including total station, RTK GPS, and UAV
- Experience with Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Technical competence, attention to detail, and ability to complete tasks on schedule and budget
- Genuine team player who will encourage teamwork with the project team plus other discipline staff
- Business development experience is considered an asset
- A valid driver’s license is required
