Underground Cable Splicer

Belleville, Canada New Horizons Communications Full time

We are currently seeking an Underground Cable Splicer for immediate hire. This is a full-time Seasonal position with the potential to work until late fall/early winter in the Kingston area.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Prepare various reports and documentation
- Required to install, replace & repair underground cable lines & conduit
- Test signal levels to ensure integrity is maintained
- Complete Burials to Cogeco standards
- May perform other related duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Experience is an asset but not required.
- Must have your own steel-toed safety boots
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Holds a valid G licence and comfortable driving in all types of weather conditions
- Must be able to navigate utilizing GPS, or maps
- Must be able to utilize a laptop computer to interpret utility maps
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Ability to travel with the occasional over night stay
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in all types of weather
