Insulator

We are currently recruiting **All Level** **Insulators (Apprentices to Journeyman) **for our Sarnia, ON

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Apply, remove and repair thermal and acoustical insulation (e.g. calcium silicate, glass foam, mineral wool, Styrofoam, fiberglass, armflex) on all types of industrial equipment (e.g. duct piping, heat exchangers, tanks, vessels)
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine insulation requirements
- Select the amount and type of insulation to be installed as well as a method of securing the insulation (e.g. pin welding, wiring, banding, taping) according to the type and shape of surface, whether or not the equipment is cold or hot, inside or outside, and what the equipment is going to be used for
- Measure and cut insulating material and coverings to the required shape and dimension, as well as fitting insulation around obstructions or shape insulation materials and protective coverings
- Working at Hights

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- **All Levels of Insulators (must be ticketed or have previous experience)**:

- **WHIMIS & Sarnia Basic Safety**:

- Proof of traning in Ontario
- Maintain positive relations with clients and coworkers through effective communication conflict management skills;
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, (personal safety as well as others);
- Self-motivated and able to work with mínimal supervision;
- Strong time management and organization skills in order to meet various competing deadlines;
- Ability to work within a team and build a positive team environment;
- Ability to display sound and accurate judgement;
- Ability to present a professional image and to encourage subordinates to do the same

**This is a union position.**

**This is not a Fly in and Fly out position.**

- SARNIA, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
