RoadSafetyBC is the lead provincial agency for road safety and is responsible for setting strategic direction and ensuring a provincial approach to road safety throughout British Columbia. RoadSafetyBC regulates drivers and operates a number of programs to help ensure the safe and responsible operation of motor vehicles in B.C.

Stakeholder Relations & Communications Officer is responsible for developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of programs and services to clients, and to communicate program goals and objectives.

**Job Requirements**:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Communications, Public Relations, English, or Social Sciences **PLUS** a minimum of 1 year experience working in a communications environment; **OR**:

- Diploma in Communications, Public Relations, English, or Social Sciences **PLUS** a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a communications environment; **OR**:

- Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED) **PLUS** a minimum of 4 years’ experience working in a communications environment; **OR**:

- An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
- Experience liaising and working with program staff, preferably in a government setting, to research information, draft responses and provide signed off messages.
- Experience writing and editing a variety of communications materials
- Experience in general communication principles, concepts and methodologies including issues management and media relations.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and responding to changing priorities, while producing results within tight deadlines.
- Experience working in a supervisory role.
- Experience working with Government Communications and Public Engagement (GCPE) staff.
- Experience working with program staff from the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General.
