JEI Learning Center Richmond Hill (1650 Elgin Mills Road) is an after-school enrichment program for students ages 4 to 13 (no infants or toddlers).

We are looking for experienced, committed individuals that will assist with our After School Program (1:10 ratio classrooms)

This is a permanent part-time position.

**Multiple weeknights: September to June 2:00pm-7:00pm (in-person) + July + August full days available**

**PLEASE STATE YOUR WORKING AVAILABILITY IN YOUR APPLICATION.**

Teacher Assistant responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Assist in the classroom with activities related to the program (JEI English, Math, Reading & Writing, Problem Solving Math and Critical Thinking)
- Monitor and motivate around 10-15 students between the ages of 4-12
- Be energetic, flexible, and present a positive attitude
- Exhibit positive and professional work habits such as punctuality, dependability, and confidentiality
- Cover front desk when needed, answer phone calls
- Strong Math skills (Up to Grade 8)
- Previous teaching/tutoring experience a plus, especially exposure to different learning styles. Previous experience with special needs and/or learning disabilities a plus.
- Criminal record check

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25 per week

**Salary**: $16.00-$17.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

COVID-19 considerations:
All teachers and students must wear PPE. Cohorts and separate classroom entrances.

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Working with children: 1 year (required)
