Purpose: To support stores by validating and revising each Store plans for pre-season planning and for package quantification and by answering their request. eCommerce store has a merchandise financial plan aligned to a corporate strategy.

Store Planner, Role-Specific Accountabilities
- Answer Manager/Owners and Regional Support Managers questions about their store specific financial merchandise plans.
- Review and correct the top/down store plans to ensure each store reflects the current merchandise strategy and to help the store quantification. (including preparing plans for new stores, monitoring their performance and adjusting the plans, store impacted by unforeseen events (fire, flood, constructions etc)). In collaboration with Store Operations, identify stores with poor inventory performance (low turns, low sell-through) and make recommendations to improve performance.
- Build eCommerce annual store plan; create bottom up plan per class per period to be aligned with corporate strategy and assortment merchandise strategy
- Execute for eCommerce store (Grocery, Hard Goods, Soft Goods) in-season planning process to manage inventory and maximize profitability. Identify issues and risks related to achieving the financial plan, develop and execute action plans to course correct businesses that are off plan. Meet with the eCommerce team on a weekly basis.
- Develop, maintain and prepare recurring reports for the planning team.
- Conduct adhoc reports and analysis related to the merchandise planning for the planning team and business partners to incorporate learnings into current and future decision making.

Knowledge & Skills

Store Planner, Requirements/Qualifications
- 2-3 year of relevant experience in the retail industry
- Understanding of retail financial metrics
- Strong analytical skills and good understanding of retail math
- Good communication skills; ability to present information in an effective and concise manner
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task within time constraints
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Assets
- Experience with business intelligence software
- Experience working in a large, multi-site national retailer
- Bilingual (English/French)

Travel Requirements
- Visiting local stores on a quarterly basis
