GFL Environmental is looking for a MHSW Depot Supervisor to join the growing team within the Halton region

**Key Responsibilities**:
Responsible for the operation of the Region of Halton MHSW Depot
Provide excellent customer service to residents visiting the depot.
Supervise and train staff assisting.
Provide all staff the required PPE and sure that they are wearing it all times.
Responsible for safety of all workers, public, and visitors to the site
Perform physically demanding work.
Identify, sort, and pack waste chemicals into appropriate storage containers.
Weigh each material on-site (eg. drums, gaylords, 20L Pails, etc ) and input the weights in the computer inventory tracking system.
Maintain clean grounds and facility.
Maintain and report any equipment that needs repair.
Comply with all rules and regulations to do with operating the depot.
Perform daily site inspections.
Complete daily reports of waste stored, received, and shipped from site. Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
Have good communication skills to deal with Region of Halton Representatives, and the public.
Report to and receive authorization from the MHSW Program Lead

**Knowledge, Skills & Competencies**:
Post-secondary degree /diploma degree required (In the field of chemistry or environmental would be an asset.)
Two (2) years of MHSW, chemistry or relevant experience.
Valid G License and own transportation is mandatory as depots are typically located outside of public transportation
You will be required to work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 8:00am - 4:30pm (your days-off are Thursday and Sunday)
Sunday shift may be required during the summer season. (4 hours shift)
The Region of Halton MHSW Depot is closed on statutory holidays, including the Civic Holiday, except for Boxing Day
