Barrie, Canada Bob Rumball Home for the Deaf Full time

The Bob Rumball Home for the Deaf is a 64 bed LTC facility. Our mission is to provide exceptional care in a communication rich environment that enhances the quality of life for each resident.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be available for 0600 start time - shifts are 6-1 and 6-430 and 1-430
- Current criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening
- Fluent in ASL and/or knowledge of deaf culture an asset

Primary Duties
- Knowledge of current COVID 19 signs and symptoms
- Conducting screening, using the appropriate screening tools
- Following the Rapid Antigen testing algorithm to direct certain persons to be tested
- Answering phone at front reception desk

Infection Control Practices
- Hand Hygiene program - handwashing/ABHR (hand sanitizer)
- How to don/dof gowns, gloves, masks and shields
- Routine infection and preventions (IPAC) precautions (e.g. physical distancing of 2m, sneeze/cough protocol
- Additional precautions (extra cleaning/disinfecting)

Ensure
- persons who do not pass the screening process are refused entry
- Stocking up supplies prior to finishing shift (gloves, gowns, hand sanitizer, wipes ,ect)
- Disinfecting the screening area once per shift

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15 per week

**Salary**: $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Barrie, ON L4M0C4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
