As our Editor in Chief, you will lead the creation of content on our website and our other publishing platforms, ensuring that our content is performant, unique and on brand and that it will reach millions and change lives. To be successful in this role, you must have a great eye for recognizing impactful and unique stories that have high potential for virality across diverse topics. We are looking for someone who seeks continuous improvement, personally and professionally, and has the skills to exponentially grow our reach.
**Your responsibilities are**:

- To create great on-brand content that performs online, leveraging next-level editorial judgment;
- To scale your vision by building an effective editorial team and processes;
- To manage the day-to-day editorial operations for all content verticals, through setting the monthly editorial calendar, ensuring that deadlines are met and content quality and performance meets and exceeds standards;
- To actively search for the best freelance writers for Goalcast whose ideas and articles match our desired tone and brand voice;
- To mentor freelancers and editors to write and edit in a way that works on social and search and is clear, concise, impactful and true to brand;
- To establish and refine our editorial processes to ensure that production and publication of content happens on regular and optimized cadence;
- With relevant teams, creating and optimizing our content distribution across platforms like Facebook and Snapchat, amongst others;
- To establishing and monitor KPIs that reflect our business and audience objectives.
- Editorial judgment: What it takes to recognize, write and distribute great stories that perform online;
- Is plugged in to Celebrity, Pop Culture and Internet trends;
- An excellent understanding of content strategy on social as well as SEO;
- An analytical mindset: Supports decisions through data and is curious about what drives performance;
- Management skills: able to organize resources and manage a team effectively;
- A high quality standard for editorial and formatting;

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a similar role in a dynamic environment;
- BA in Journalism, English Literature or related field
- Excellent knowledge of current events and content that resonates across social platforms and search engines;
- Knowledge of Wordpress, Google Analytics, Google Suite and Airtable;
