Intermediate Estimator

The Intermediate Estimator is responsible for understanding the scope of work for each project to estimate the cost of materials, labour, and equipment.

**Job Duties**
- Assemble accurate and organize estimates for tenders such as General Contracting, Construction Management, and Design-Build projects
- Analyze plans, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare bid estimates for projects
- Obtain quotes from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
- Prepare and quantify material take-offs
- Participate in sub-contract procurement, such as qualifications and quotes, calling for tenders, preparation of RFP or RFQ

**Qualifications**
- A diploma in CET or an equivalent academic combination with practical experience
- Ability to read, interpret and understand building blueprints, specifications, contract documents with strong writing and graphic abilities
- Detail orientated, analytical, and able to problem solve
- Able to work independently and as a team player
- Communicate clearly and effectively with architects and trades
- Capable of managing multiple priorities under strict deadlines
