**Role and Facility Information**:
The Palliative Care Physician Group in Island Health have a part-time permanent position available for a palliative care physician in Oceanside (Parksville BC) able to work in a variety of clinical settings including community home visits and a local hospice.
Description of role:
It will include:
Provision of palliative care of MRP consultants at Trillium Lodge Parksville, which has a 6-bed hospice.
Provision of outpatient and home visit palliative care (driver’s license and car are required)
Participation in the rural & remote palliative care on-call schedule
Teaching and supervision of medical learners (requires eligibility for faculty appointment with UBC)
**Benefits**:
May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidy Agreement (RSA) including:
1. Recruitment Incentive = up to $10,000
2. Relocation Costs Reimbursement - up to a maximum of $15,000
3. Fee Premium = 4.62%
4. Annual Flat Fee = $5,318.28
Rural CME starting at $2,200/annum in years 3&4, then increasing to a maximum of $4,400 after 4 years in the community.
