A brake press operator is responsible for operating a machine called a press brake, which is used to bend and shape metal sheets into specific forms. The operator must ensure that the machine is set up correctly, and that the materials are properly aligned and secured.

The duties and responsibilities of a brake press operator may include:

- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the correct measurements and tolerances for each job.
- Setting up the press brake, selecting the correct tools and dies, and adjusting the machine settings to ensure the proper bend angles and lengths.
- Loading and unloading metal sheets into the press brake, making sure that they are properly aligned and secured.
- Operating the press brake to bend the metal sheets according to the specifications, using the foot pedal or other controls.
- Inspecting the finished products to ensure that they meet the quality standards and specifications.
- Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of the press brake and associated equipment.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following lockout/tagout procedures.

**Salary**: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
