**The Opportunity**:
We’re looking for a VP, Operations to join our Operations team.

This role can be mostly remote, however we will on occasion require you to come onsite to our office at 1111 West Georgia St, Vancouver, BC. Occasional travel may also be required.

Reporting to the SVP, Operations the VP, Operations is responsible for instituting operations strategy that delivers organization-wide consistent standards with a focus on ensuring a pro-active, customer-focused, and customer-experience organization. The VP, Operations develops corresponding departmental, team and individual goals and objectives by using technology and strategic framework to support Aviso’s vision and strategy.

**What your day looks like**:

- Develops, communicates and manages strategic and long-range operations plans, including a detailed succession plan for all key roles
- Communicates seamlessly with all levels within Aviso and interact with staff, peers and senior management in a comfortable and effective manner
- Implements metrics to measure productivity, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction
- Analyze and resolve highly difficult problems, integrate information from multiple sources, utilize creative thinking and exercise considerable judgment and resourcefulness
- Research technology, best practices and regulations to update and improve systems/processes
- Set positive leadership tone through gaining respect of staff, peers and stakeholders
- Ensure staff members receive timely and appropriate training and development
- Coach staff to increase performance while increasing/maintaining employee engagement
- Research and identify new business opportunities and seek new business tools and methods
- Ensure compliance with company policies and federal regulations

**Requirements**:
**Your experience and skills**:

- Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive leadership, including 5+ years of executive leadership in wealth management operations
- Proven ability to have strong technology capabilities to develop business framework projects
- Demonstrated ability to deal with conflict in a professional manner
- Strong executive presence and negotiation skills to influence and facilitate positive outcomes
- Strong people leadership and talent management skills, including attracting and hiring talent, engagement with staff and a focus on individual and team development
- Keen business acumen, business judgement and problem-solving skills in order to serve as a trusted advisor
- Strong organizational agility skills and political savviness to maneuver comfortably through complex policies, processes and people situations
- Demonstrated personal resilience when faced with challenges and setbacks
- Ability to work cross-functionally to solve problems, manage change and improve quality and service.
- Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset
