Boat Technician

**Performance Marine** is part of the Olympic Auto Group, with over 30 dealerships, across Canada and the US, and more than 750 team members strong. We are looking for a marine technician to join our team.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Operate diagnostic equipment, testing equipment, and hand and power tools associated with marine engine and equipment repair.
- Diagnose problems to determine repair requirements or adjustments on marine engines, outboards, propellers, drive units, navigational equipment, etc.
- Perform major and specialized mechanical overhaul and repair work on several models of marine engines **Inspect, repair and maintain boat engines and power systems (diesel engines, outboards).**:

- Repair and maintain plumbing, hydraulic equipment and valves.
- Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance program for marine engines and related equipment.
- Liaise with team members to ensure priorities are clear, service orders are accurate and part orders and supplies are properly invoiced.

**Qualification and Education**:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in the marine industry
- Journey person marine mechanic with current certification
- Certificate or diploma in related field e.g. diesel marine repair
- Strong team player with good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and a proven ability to contribute to a positive and cohesive team environment
- A self-starter with the ability to work with mínimal supervision
