**Position Summary**:
Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health is a community-centred agency dedicated to promoting and protecting the health of Wellington County, Dufferin County, and Guelph communities. Under the supervision of their preceptor, students will work with the Health Promotion Teams and various other teams in the agency to support health promotion priorities. Students will have the opportunity to assist with a project to build and strengthen health promotion and program planning skills. WDGPH is seeking two practicum students over the summer term (May - August, 2024):
Position 1:
Evaluation of Healthy Babies Healthy Children Program:

- Conduct a literature review of new and promising practices.
- Conduct a client satisfaction survey of existing clients.

Position 2:
Needs Assessment for the Climate Change and Health Program:

- Complete a review of information gathered from local partners from a series of engagements sessions with partners.
- Complete a review of local Climate Adaptation Plans.
- Conduct a local partner needs assessment.

**Hours of Work**:
Regular office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
This position is available for 28 to 35 hours per week, with flexibility based on the student's schedule.

**Requirements**:

- Must be currently enrolled in a Master’s program as an active student in an accredited school/academic program as recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. Students in Master's programs in the fields of Public Health, Science in Epidemiology, Health Promotion, and Health Evaluation will be considered.
- Ability to work independently (under the supervision of a practicum placement staff).
- Strong research and data analysis skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
