The Fort Erie Spay & Neuter Clinic with Basic Care is currently seeking a **full time** veterinarian to join our team.

The position will be 40 hours a week, and your day will begin at 8am and end at 4:30pm. We care for all species including dogs, cats, birds, pocket pets, reptiles and more

This would be a perfect position for someone who is looking to make an immediate impact, not be part of the corporate culture, wanting a great work-life balance and, at the same time, helping community animals reach their full potential to become amazing pets in our community.

We also provide an exceptional level of mentorship and our experienced RVT's and ACA's will ensure the flow of work is seamless. **New graduates and Retired Vets** are welcome to apply

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests on animals
- Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and diseases in animals
- Administer vaccinations and medications as needed
- Perform surgeries and other medical procedures
- Provide emergency care to injured or critically ill animals
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and preventive measures
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to provide comprehensive care to animals
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients

**Experience**:

- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Valid license to practice veterinary medicine
- Experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
- Proficient in laboratory diagnostics and interpretation of results
- Strong surgical skills

Pay: $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
