As a Quality Control Technician, you will serve as the initial checkpoint in the quality assurance and quality control system. Reporting to the Scientific Affairs Manager, you will work closely with the Production teams to uphold standards during production. This will involve, but is not limited to, quantitative measurements, product sampling, and inspection of incoming raw materials.

**QC Technician Responsibilities**:

- Receive, sample, and verify the quality of raw materials, and release them once approved.
- Conduct quality checks on all incoming goods, including labels, containers, and packaging.
- Verify product conformity at various stages of production.
- Perform physical and chemical analyses on finished products (e.g., pH, viscosity, density, and sensory/organoleptic evaluations).
- Coordinate with external laboratories for finished product testing and follow up on results.
- Promptly report any non-conforming results to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of test results and quality inspections.
- Conduct stability tests and analyze data.
- Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Complete complaint forms and assist customer service in responding to customer inquiries.
- Calibrate laboratory equipment and ensure its proper functioning.
- Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Monitor inventory levels of laboratory supplies and ensure timely replenishment.
- Provide support to formulators and the production team as needed.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Prior experience as a quality control technician.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in both French and English (spoken and written) is an asset.

- **Description d’emploi**

En tant que technicien en contrôle de la qualité, vous servirez de point de contrôle initial dans le système d'assurance et de contrôle de la qualité. Rattaché(e) à la responsable des affaires scientifiques, vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec les équipes de production pour faire respecter les normes pendant la production. Cela impliquera, sans s'y limiter, des mesures quantitatives, l'échantillonnage des produits et l'inspection des matières premières entrantes.

**Responsabilités du technicien QC**:

- Recevoir, échantillonner et vérifier la qualité des matières premières, et les libérer une fois approuvées.
- Effectuer des contrôles de qualité sur toutes les marchandises entrantes, y compris les étiquettes, les conteneurs et les emballages.
- Vérifier la conformité du produit à différentes étapes de la production.
- Effectuer des analyses physiques et chimiques sur les produits finis (p. ex., pH, viscosité, masse volumique et évaluations sensorielles/organoleptiques).
- Coordonner avec les laboratoires externes les analyses de produits finis et faire le suivi des résultats.
- Signaler rapidement tout résultat non conforme au superviseur.
- Tenir des registres précis et documenter les résultats des tests et des inspections de qualité.
- Effectuer des tests de stabilité et analyser des données.
- Soutenir et contribuer aux initiatives d'amélioration continue.
- Remplir les formulaires de plainte et aider le service à la clientèle à répondre aux demandes des clients.
- Calibrer les équipements de laboratoire et s'assurer de leur bon fonctionnement.
- Respecter les protocoles de sécurité du laboratoire et maintenir une zone de travail propre et organisée.
- Surveiller les niveaux de stock de fournitures de laboratoire et assurer le réapprovisionnement en temps opportun.
- Fournir un soutien aux formulateurs et à l'équipe de production au besoin.

**Compétences et expérience requises**:

- Expérience préalable en tant que technicien en contrôle de la qualité.
- Solides compétences en résolution de problèmes, compétences analytiques et souci du détail.
- Capacité à travailler de manière autonome et à gérer efficacement son temps.
- La maîtrise du français et de l'anglais (parlé et écrit) est un atout.
