**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the Director, Healthy Schools and Communities, the Manager, QA, AEFIs and Intake is responsible for managing a multi-disciplinary team of health and administrative professionals to provide nursing clinical practice leadership in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, policies and procedures, and medical directives for the Immunization Services Program and the management of investigations of adverse events following immunizations (AEFIs). In addition, this position will be responsible for overseeing the knowledge translation strategies of the program which will include managing the program’s intake line, and external communications.as well as managing staff to monitor, investigate, and document of all suspected cases of adverse events following immunization in alignment with the provincial Infectious Diseases Protocol.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Oversees the development and implementation of policies and procedures, and medical directives related to Immunizations Services.
- Develops and leads significant Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives.
- Ensures best practices are adhered to and are in accordance with provincial guidelines.
- Manages the implementation of knowledge translation strategies to ensure that the Program effectively utilizes quality improvement approaches, methodologies and tools to achieve identified outcomes.
- Manages the development of processes and communication tools for Immunization Services Intake Line, and external communications including Immunization Services webpage.
- Collaborates with the Immunization Services management team to manage Medical Incident Reports and conduct regular internal reviews/audits to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Ensures effective allocation of human resources to maintain program delivery standards.
- Responsible for program priority setting, implementation, monitoring and evaluation and makes necessary changes based on new or changing legislation.
- Develops or revises program policies and procedures to align with provincial changes.
- Prepares immunization services reports for Regional Council, relevant ministries, and the Medical Officer of Health as needed.
- Develops and manages budgets in order to ensure program priorities are met.
- Collaborates and manages relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including responding to inquiries from public, health care providers, school boards, child care centres, and ministries.
- Works with internal and external stakeholders in the development of new initiatives including nursing informatics and technology solutions to support Immunization Services.
- Develops and maintains relationships with Communications, Information Technology and other corporate partners.
- Rotational on-call responsibilities.

**Skills & Qualifications**:
**Essential**
- This role requires specialized knowledge of continuous quality improvement (CQI), infection prevention and control, clinical practice, LEAN methodologies and risk management.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with legislation and mandates governing public health and nursing practice.
- Knowledge of management theory, leadership, and change and dispute resolution is required along with strong project management skills including report writing and program planning.
- This role requires demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, coach, influence and motivate staff along with political acuity.

**Preferred**
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, LEAN certification, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) training, and/or skills in Evidence-Informed Decision Making (EIDM).
