The Red Deer Operations Manager is a strong leader who works with his/her peers to run organized and successful day to day operations of the Company’s workings in the Red Deer area.
- Coordinate the day to day operations of the mechanics and equipment needs.
- Assist the Project Supervisors with their needs and equipment repairs.
- Ensure all equipment repairs, maintenance and special projects are executed safely and efficiently as well as properly recorded/reported from start to finish.
- Coordinate with all equipment suppliers.
- Shop around for the best pricing and availability on parts and service to help control costs and complete maintenance in a timely manner.
- Facilitate year-round maintenance & cleanliness of the Red Deer Shop including but not limited to: driveways, yards, lawns, landscaping, HVAC system, water well, pumps, motors and septic.
- Assess operations and consult on needs for equipment repair, maintenance and replacement.
- Purchase all tools and consumables needed for GCS Operations.
- Ensures compliance with all Company safety policies, procedures, guidelines and other applicable legislation.
- Make sure equipment returns or drop-offs are thoroughly inspected and all proper repairs are made; ensure bills are done up daily and sent out and proper P.O. process is followed.
- Interact with clients to ensure their requirements are being met.
- Manage and oversee all Heavy-Duty Equipment mechanics for the Company.
- Purchase materials, products and services on behalf of the Company for the Red Deer Operations and other areas as required.
- Minimum 3 years Operations Management experience
- Computer skills sufficient for the use of word processing, spreadsheet, database software to prepare reports, memos, letters and other documents
- Has an innate mechanical aptitude and an interest in all types of machinery and engines, electronics and precision equipment.
- Valid driver’s license.
This is a full time salaried position with full benefits and a company vehicle with personal use privileges.
