Youth Pastor

Youth Pastor - Full Time

**Responsibilities**:
 Encourage, teach and guide youth in church, for their spiritual formation and growth in knowing God and following Christ.

 Lead, support, and build a team of youth ministry teachers and volunteers.
 Design activities/curriculum for the youth Sunday schools and fellowship, and develop relationships with and among youth, and with other church congregants.
 Coordinate and preach/teach in the weekly Sunday schools and youth fellowship, and supervise the team in preparation of the activities and teachings.
 Communicate effectively with teens, parents and church families.
 Participate, work alongside, and share responsibilities with other church staff and leaders as directed.
 Participate in youth ministry meetings, monthly board meetings, church annual meetings, church staff meetings, weekly worship services, and the other general life of UCBC.
 Open to expanding ministry responsibility related to youth and young adults.

Characters
 Committed Christian who can wholeheartedly uphold biblical faith and support UCBC(CBWC) convictions.
 Loves young people and has confidence in God’s calling to serve as a full time minister.
 Be a strong team player.
 Be a self-starter in ministries.

**Qualifications**:
 Completion of a recognized theological degree in an accredited seminary in North America.
 Minimum one year experience as a full time minister, and experience working with youth.
 Willing to become a member of UCBC.
 A criminal record check is mandatory.
 References will be requested.
 Legally able to work in Canada.
 Fluent in English speaking. Ablilty to communicate in Mandarin is an asset.
