Brightside is an all-day cafe on West Broadway in Kitsilano.

Our team has over two decades of experience owning and operating cafes and roasting really, really good coffee. And while our foundation will always be quality ingredients - in our coffee, in our baking, and in our food - our real obsession is delivering remarkably excellent service. We named our company Brightside because we believe in taking an optimistic approach to our industry and what we do. We want to build a team and create an environment that is welcoming, friendly, and a bright spot in people's every day. We're looking for some talented servers to join our front-of-house program who share our passion, ambition, and care for what they do and the people they do it with.

Just a few things we would be looking for you to do:

- A passion for hospitality, wine, beer, cider and cocktails - Experience in a food service supervisory role is a bonus - A calm and kind demeanour - Comfortable with cash handling - Proficiency in Google Workspace is preferred - Foodsafe Level 1 and Serving it Right are considered an asset - Set a positive tone and strong work ethic, leading by example - Lead in the development of Brightside's front-of-house process and policies, and offer input and ideas for company-wide processes and policies - Be part of a team of service-obsessed individuals - Promote and uphold health and safety regulations

Some very basic qualifications we might expect:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in the service; bonus if you have experience in a leadership position - Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently - Capable of delegating multiple tasks - An aptitude for organization and cleanliness - You'll need to be empathetic, caring, and patient

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $47,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
