Auto Shop Foreman

The Duties & Responsibilities of a _**General Motors**_ Automotive Shop Foreman Includes:
- Supervision: Overseeing technicians & mechanics, providing guidance, and ensuring efficient workflow in the auto shop.
- Scheduling: Creating work schedules for Staff, managing workload distribution, and optimizing productivity.
- Quality Control: Ensuring that repairs and services meet GM's Standards and Quality Expectations.
- Training: Providing training and mentorship to technicians to enhance their skills & keep them updated on GM latest technology & procedures.
Communication: Interacting with customers to understand their concerns, providing updates on repairs, and addressing any issues to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Inventory Management: Monitoring & managing the inventory of parts, ensuring that necessary components are available for repairs & maintenance.
- Diagnostic Support: Assisting Technicians in complex diagnostic procedures, especially related to GM Vehicles.
- Safety Compliance: Enforcing safety protocols & ensuring compliance with GM's Safety Standards to create a secure working environment.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of repairs, services, and inventory, as well as preparing reports for management.
- Problem Resolution: Addressing & Resolving any conflicts or issues that may arise among the staff or with customers.
- Equipment Maintenance: Overseeing the maintenance and calibration of automotive tools and equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Stay Informed: Keeping abreast of the latest developments in automotive technology, especially those related to GM vehicles.
- Cost Management: Monitoring expenses and working to control costs, aiming for efficiency without compromising quality.
- Adherence to Policies: Ensuring that the shop follows GM Policies, procedures, and guidlines.
- Customer Service: Focusing on providing excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, explaining repairs, and maintaining a positive customer experience.
These responsibilities collectively contribute to the effective and smooth operation of a General Motors automotive Shop under the guidance of the Foreman.
