**Job Title: Abatement Technician**

As a key member of the Deconstructors team, you will be responsible for contributing to the success of our projects through skilled labor and specialized abatement tasks. Reporting directly to the project foreman and managing supervisors, your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Strictly follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
- Report any safety concerns or issues promptly to the supervisor, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Assist in the setup and preparation of work areas for deconstruction, demolition, or abatement projects.
- Execute specialized tasks related to hazardous materials abatement under the direction of the project foreman.
- Assist in the removal of both non-hazardous and hazardous materials and debris from project sites.
- Support the project team to ensure project objectives are met efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of the team.
- Carefully follow the direction of your Foreman and managing supervisors.
- Perform various physical labor tasks, including loading and unloading materials, operating hand and power tools, and executing general construction duties.
- Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure operational efficiency and a safe working environment.
- Train general labourer employees.
- Properly complete company forms (FLHA's, Tool-Box Talks, etc.) as required using the software SiteDocs on your personal phone.
- Ensure the company is represented in a courteous and professional manner.

**Qualifications**:

- Commitment to safety guidelines and regulations.
- A positive attitude and a team player.
- Good communication skills.
- Level 2 or Level 3 Asbestos WorksafeBC Certification an asset.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform strenuous tasks.
- Construction experience considered an asset.
- Enjoy working on multiple projects.
- Willingness to work in diverse weather conditions.
- A valid current Driver’s License recommended.
- Interest in continual learning and skills development.

**Salary**: $22.00-$32.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
- Overtime pay

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Construction: 1 year (preferred)
- Skilled Labor: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver's License (preferred)
