**About the Kwadacha Nation**
The Kwadacha Nation (Tsek'ene) is commonly known as Fort Ware and is located 570 km North of Prince George BC at the confluence of the Fox, the Kwadacha, and Finlay rivers in the Rocky Mountain Trench. The Finlay River basin is the heart of our Tsek’ene country, but we moved freely throughout the Finlay, Parsnip, and Upper Peace River basins and traveled up and down the Rocky Mountain Trench from McLeod Lake to south of the Liard River.
We are looking for dynamic individuals to join our team and be a part of our rich cultural heritage and growing community. You will be based in Prince George with frequent travel to Kwadacha or as needed. When working with our community, both on and off-reserve, we strive for service without limits.
**Position Overview**
We are currently looking for a full-time Infrastructure Manager on a two year term to manage capital projects within the Capital and Asset Management Department. The department helps Chief and Council make sound decisions for capital expenditures concerning infrastructure and municipal type services for both community and economic development ventures. The Infrastructure Manager will ensure safe and reliable community infrastructure and that services are sustained through proactive planning and strategic capital upgrades. Reducing reliance on diesel power generation and developing options for renewable energy sources will be a core responsibility of the Infrastructure
Manager. This position will report to the Executive Director and will work collaboratively with Kwadacha’s management team.
In this role, you will ensure the long-term sustainability of critical assets that support the services we provide to both members and our economic development ventures. Sustainability will be attained by the proactive life-cycle management of Kwadacha’s assets including seeking funding, strategic capital planning, project oversight and reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining and expanding upon Kwadacha’s energy management program to move towards more sustainable energy solutions. In this role, extensive dialogue and consultation with other departments, key stakeholders, professional service providers, regulator agencies and funding source providers is required in order to accomplish priority objectives. Responsibilities also include planning, coordinating and overseeing the management of all new capital projects, upgrades to existing infrastructure and ensuring safe and reliable services are sustained for the community. Frequent trips by road and air are required.

Infrastructure and Energy Management program is administered in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with policies, processes, regulations and reporting requirmenets.
**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Strong decision-making skills, a willingness to learn and make choices using sound judgement
- Excellent leadership, professionalism, inter-personal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Knowledge of First Nations culture and traditions
- Willing to pursue relevant certification and training to carry out job duties
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and consultation
- Highly organized and ability to multi-task
- Detail-oriented with ability to meet deadlines
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Experience with the activities in the list below will be considered an asset:
- Project management (preferably with project management certification)
- Capital and asset management
- Maintenance management planning
- Buildings and/or mechanical systems
- General construction and/or construction management
- Budget and schedule monitoring
- Must hold a valid driver’s license
- Post-secondary education and/or a combination of education and experience in a relevant field such as capital and asset management, project management, and construction
